In Massachusetts, residents age 60 or older are protected by our elder abuse laws, and there are separate laws governing elder abuse in the community (M.G.L. Chapter 19A, Sections 14-28) and in nursing homes (M.G.L., Chapter 111, Sections 72F-72L).
